Deem and the Canadian National Institute for the Blind

I didn’t realize that blind people weren’t able to book travel on their own. Due to vision limitations, blind people needed a travel booker to find the right trip on their behalf. However, according to the people I spoke with at the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, Deem was literally the first travel software to allow the blind to book a trip on their own.

It gave them a newfound sense of freedom and independence. It gave me an immense sense of pride to know something I was working on was actually helping people.
